The Creator created night and day,
To allow us to work, rest and play.
In the bright light of the beaming sun,
We busy ourselves to get things done.
But I believe the Creator chose to create,
A time for us to contemplate,
Stop our busyness and learn to wait,
Bow our heads and appreciate.
So in those dark quiet hours of the night,
Close your eyes and feel the light.
Listen to the profound silence’s mighty sound,
And bask in the deep stillness all around.
For in that calmness lays the seed,
For happy blossoms or worrying weeds,
For nightmares or soothing dreams,
For reflecting on what is and not just what seems.
